Laboratory Methods in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology - BIOC 220

Estimated Number of Positions:

Total Hours of Work per Term:146 hours

Position Summary:

Review of experimental procedures and specific critical steps prior to experiment
Assist the course coordinator with the supervision of laboratory experiments
Answer technical and theoretical questions on the laboratory experiments
Explain in detail the safety procedures and manipulation required in the laboratory
Correct and grade lab reports, quizzes and examsQualifications:
Only registered McGill Graduate students can be hired as TA
Student enrolled in the Graduate Program of the Biochemistry Department.
Have at least one (1) year experience in the Graduate Program
One of the two attending TAs must have taken the BIOC 220 laboratory course in the past year.
Have taken the WHMIS and Waste Management courses from Environmental Health and Safety or equivalent
