- Determine training needs or development requirements.
- Identify training matrix gaps and determine the method to fill them
- Mentor experienced employees who are providing additional coaching.
- Assist in development, implementation, and continued application of Computer Based Training (CBT) program and evaluation of learnings.
- Facilitate and conduct new hire orientations to Mill Operations as required.
- Provide internal and external training.
- Prepare and / or if necessary, purchase required training modules consistent with applicable legislation and company policies
- Monitor all employees to ascertain if follow-up training is necessary.
- Provide and / or coordinate follow-up training for employees.
- Ensure all employees have been properly signed off for equipment they are operating.
- Maintain employee files ensuring they are up to date with all training records.
- Ensure all files are complete, consistent with applicable Labour Standards.
- Work with the Safety team and other departments to establish training procedures to be used throughout the mine site.
- Technical diploma or certification required.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- 3 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with both internal and external contacts.
- Ability to organize and prioritize job duties.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.

Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.
Applicants who reside in Northwestern Ontario and have experience working in a cross-cultural environment, coupled with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities presented to those living in the Northwest Ontario, are assets. About The Role
Schedule: Shift 12 hour shifts, 14/14 rotation
Position Reports To: Mill Training Supervisor
Position Overview
In the capacity of Mill Trainer, this role is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive training of all mill employees to enable them to fulfill their job responsibilities effectively and safely. This involves the identification of training needs, the creation and maintenance of training programs, development of training materials, and establishment of evaluation procedures.
