General Labourer

The role of the general labourer will aid its team in bringing fibre optic service wires to the side of the homes, assist in complete landscaping restoration work and operate general small hand tools.

Experience in fibre jetting and installation of underground cable is considered an asset.

This is a full-time opportunity that includes Health and Dental benefits, as well as very competitive salary based on experience plus opportunity for overtime and growth.

Responsibilities:

Aid in underground works including but not limited to:

• Conduit placement
• Digging Trenches
• Assisting equipment operators (Zhan Plows, Jetter, air compressor)
• Pulling Coaxial and Fibre optic Cable
• Operating small tools and concrete saws
• Assisting in maintaining a clean jobsite, adhering to all safety guidelines and PPE protocols always followed
• Restoring the homeowners' property to original condition leaving an invisible footprint
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Lead

Qualifications:

• Experience in construction, landscaping, irrigation labourer role is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of blueprint reading
• Must have valid Ontario driver's license with clean drivers abstract.
• Driven to take pride in work.
• Ability to safely lift to 80 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work 44hr work weeks Monday to Friday with opportunity for overtime.
• Ability to work occasional weekends depending on customer deadlines

Rate of pay:
$20 and up per hour, based on experience.


Schedule:

• 810hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Occasional weekends based on customer requirements

Experience:

- construction/landscaping/labour: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:
