Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the automation technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance of automation systems within the renowned thermoplastic parts manufacturing enterprise.
This role requires you to develop and review standards, collaborate with contractors for system design, contribute to the continuous improvement, communicate issues to the manager, follow daily work plans, execute special projects, and provide flexible manufacturing support, including training on varying shifts.
If you can ensure smooth automation operation, conduct repairs and upgrades along with monitoring and optimizing processes this is a perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the seamless operation of all automation components, including frequency drives, Robots, PLC, motion control equipment's, servos.
- Execute repairs and implement upgrades to automation systems as needed.
- Monitor and regulate processes in automation to maximize production efficiency
- Develop and review condition standards for injection machines and automation on a regular basis
- Collaborate with external contractors to design/install new automation
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Education or certification as an electrician, robotics programming or electrical technician/technologist diploma.
- Proficient in interpreting electrical schematics
- Experience/certifications that will be considered assets include forklift and/or overhead crane certification.

Salary:
$28.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- electrician: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
