Informatica Maintenance and Production Support Lead - Halifax, Canada - CGI
Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Research/Correct/Escalate Data Issues within the production environment
- Ensure monitoring and completion of Extract jobs
- Ensure Adhoc jobs are appropriately Scheduled
- Assist team with troubleshooting Unix file delivery and ETL file management
- Research/Correct/Escalate/Recover Production Tidal Job Abends
- Implement code fixes for break fix production issues
- Leverage request tracking software to manage daily tasks and work loads
- Work with Development teams to ensure smooth code transitions into production environment
- Provide feedback to DEV team on Warranty issues identified in production
- Support Release cycle process during and off business hours
- Provide rotational off hours on call support and escalation
- Create and maintain support material/ documentation
Required
- Bachelor's degree or College Diploma in a Computer Science related program
- Eight years experience leading Data Warehouse Support Team
- Strong Oracle PL/SQL data querying proficiency
- Strong understanding of Informatica Development (Power Center and Exchange)
- Interpret Unix/Linux Shell Scripts
- Familiarity with use of version control / source code management tools (SVN, Dimensions, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail
- Understands database design
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with secure data handling processes and procedures
- Technical writing and documentation
- Ability to lead and work closely with team members & clients
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Experience in the Health industry a plus
- ETL Architecture and Standards
- Enterprise level scheduler (Preferably Tidal Enterprise Scheduler)
- Enterprise Systems experience, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence understanding
