Journeaux Assoc. is looking for a Field Technician. The technician will assist engineers on drilling and sampling campaigns for various projects._Job Description:
_
- Quality control of materials and construction supervision;
- Soil sampling by drilling and test pits;
- Concrete sampling;
- Settlement tests (nucleodensimeter);
- Asphalt analysis;
- Management and supervision of geotechnical investigations involving drilling, CPTu/SCPTu and drilling;
- Insitu tests during investigations (SPT, Nilcon vane tests, etc.);
- Management and supervision of instrumentation installations in boreholes (vibratingwire piezometers, inclinometers, observation wells, etc.)
- Daily field reports.
_Skills sought:
_
- Recognized technical diploma in civil engineering or equivalent;
- Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the field of geotechnical engineering;
- Mastery of AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office suite;
- Have the ASP Construction card;
- Valid driver's license;
- Solid knowledge of occupational health and safety practices;
- Well organized, interested in technical and personal development;
- Able to work independently on remote sites;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French, Bilingualism an asset;
- Eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
