Job Summary:


The Purchasing Clerk will coordinate the purchase ordering process for all AG branches and clients, negotiate vendor prices, and ensure accuracy of all purchase orders.


Major Responsibilities:


  • Coordinating the purchase of supplies for clients and AG branches, provide: quotations, purchase orders, and scheduling delivery
  • Purchasing for inhouse orders and office supplies
  • Maintain computerized records for purchase orders
  • Management of retail customer files
  • Providing general customer service support to retail customers and manage vendor relationships
  • Inventory control managing warehouse inventory for retail stock items
  • Maintaining and updating vendor prices in accounting system
  • Shopping and negotiating for best prices to reduce AG purchasing cost
  • Train new employees on the order desk
  • Updating procedure manuals
  • Assist with yearend inventory
  • Backup reception duties as needed

Requirements:

Understanding of or past working experience in the print industry would be a definite asset.

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

- purchasing: 2 years (preferred)
