Position Overview:
Finning is seeking an Equipment Sales Representative - General Construction to provide innovative solutions to customers.

As the Equipment Sales Rep - you will identify new markets and opportunities for the sales for both new and used Caterpillar equipment within the region.

**You must be living and willing to travel within the region to support our customer base.


Job Description:


  • Evaluate customer needs, promote and sell products and services to meet those needs and provide quality solutions to address customers' needs
  • Develop and maintain client information and data utilizing Finning (Canada)'s CRM software and Product Improvement Program to enable accurate market intelligence, pricing, estimates, and customer satisfaction
  • Achieve targets for revenue growth and profitability
  • Maintain sound longterm relationships with customers, Caterpillar, internal departments and staff
  • Prepare accurate and timely forecasts, pricing, estimates and market intelligence of parts and service revenue targets for assigned customer base to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Establish appropriate targets, goals and objectives that are aligned with corporate strategy
  • To achieve profitable parts and service revenue based on corporate and territory targets
  • Ensure all sales documents and customer agreements are completed in a consistent, accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure proper territory coverage, account planning strategies and strong time management skills
  • Develop and grow longterm strategic relationships with major accounts.
  • Understand the competitor activity and utilize lost sales reporting

Qualifications:

  • Proven sound mechanical knowledge of construction industry (Compact Construction Equipment and Building Construction Products)
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven customer centricity and presentation skills
  • Knowledge and experience with CRM platforms
  • Understands and adheres to safety procedures and protocols
  • Proficient in MS office package
