Job summary
The Employment Consultant is responsible for providing comprehensive employment consulting and counselling services to support individuals with diverse employment needs.Using a client-centered, case management approach, the Employment Consultant will:Conduct client assessments and develop action plans: assess client needs, explore career goals, identify employment barriers, and create action plans to support long-term employment success.Provide individual and group counselling:support clients through one-on-one and group sessions to build confidence, workplace readiness,and other essential employment skills.Address barriers to employment:support clients in overcoming challenges by connecting them with resources,training,and other supports to help them achieve employment success.Facilitate career development workshops:deliver workshops on job search strategies,resumeand interview preparation,labor market trends,and career exploration.Connect clients with resources:provide up-to-date information on programs,traning,and community supports,and referclients to appropriate services.Build partnershipsand networks:workwith governmentcommunity organizationsemployersand training providersTo supportclientsand createemployment opportunities.Suppport the resource centreassistclients in accessing labourmarket information,careerplanning tools jobsearchresources.Maintain documentationandease fileskeepaccuraterecordsofclientinteractionsprogressoutcome sand prepare reports as required.Other related dutiesperform additional tasks as requiredtosupportemploymentconsulting services.
