- Arrive at work on time and prepared for the assigned task and shift.
- Assist with various tasks as required, track and maintain housekeeping of tools, equipment and materials at project sites, office and in crew vehicles.
- Support a positive and professional team atmosphere and acts as a positive ambassador for the company.
- Assist Crew Chief in achieving project timelines and deliverables.
- Complete mandatory safety training and practice competent operation of all equipment and tasks.
- Adhere to, without exception, the safety requirements of the client, OH&S and the GeoVerra Safety program.
- Actively participate in Emergency Response Planning, Hazard Assessment, Job Safety Analysis development, daily tailgate meetings and comply with all safety requirements. What you will bring:
- Diploma/Degree in Geomatics or Civil Engineering Technology, or related discipline preferred, not required.
- Previous experience in Surveying or other related types of work in the great outdoors.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly for the client, project, and GeoVerra requirements.
- Commitment to respond to situations that occur outside traditional working hours.
- Capacity to take directions and communicate effectively.
- An understanding of survey methodologies is considered an asset.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract and background check.
- Completed training and valid tickets in First Aid and CSTS safety training is an asset.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as per the limits provided in the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace Job conditions
- Primarily local work but there may be travel required to support other projects.
- There is the possibly for a night shift on an infrequent basis.
- Carrying, lifting, and pushing up to 50lbs on a regular basis.
- Working outside in all weather conditions. What we offer
