Description

GFL Environmental is looking for full-time warehouse sorter/processor to join our growing team in Brampton, ON. GFL Environmental offers competitive compensation and an attractive benefits plan.

The sorter/processor is responsible for the safe handling and processing of waste products within GFL's secure warehouse and reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

A thorough knowledge of Green For Life (GFL's) policies and procedures (SOP's). GFL will provide adequate training to perform daily functions.
Sorting products into various categories and processing damaged, recalled, expired and other consumer products.
Preparing bins, pallets and bonar bins to be shredded, loading boxes onto pallets and dumping into bonar bins, loading cardboard baler, etc.
Understanding the various products handled in the warehouse
Contribute to special projects as required
Coordinate loading and unloading of trucks
May be required to safely operate and maintain machinery
Cleaning workstation and warehouse as required
Pick & Pack, skid building, shipping and receiving
Coordinate with the forklift operators and team members for an efficient workflow of shredding and sorting materials and products in the warehouse

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

At least one year of previous warehouse work is an asset
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Must be motivated, able to multitask, and work effectively in a team environment
Must be safety conscious and detail oriented
Ability to follow procedures and work with mínimal supervision
Willing to work overtime, alternate shifts
Knowledge of TDG, Reg. 347 and Ontario Health and Safety Act an asset
