GFL Environmental is looking for full-time warehouse sorter/processor to join our growing team in Brampton, ON. GFL Environmental offers competitive compensation and an attractive benefits plan.

The sorter/processor is responsible for the safe handling and processing of waste products within GFL's secure warehouse and reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.


Key Responsibilities:


  • A thorough knowledge of Green For Life (GFL's) policies and procedures (SOP's). GFL will provide adequate training to perform daily functions.
  • Sorting products into various categories and processing damaged, recalled, expired and other consumer products.
  • Preparing bins, pallets and bonar bins to be shredded, loading boxes onto pallets and dumping into bonar bins, loading cardboard baler, etc.
  • Understanding the various products handled in the warehouse
  • Contribute to special projects as required
  • Coordinate loading and unloading of trucks
  • May be required to safely operate and maintain machinery
  • Cleaning workstation and warehouse as required
  • Pick & Pack, skid building, shipping and receiving
  • Coordinate with the forklift operators and team members for an efficient workflow of shredding and sorting materials and products in the warehouse

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:


  • At least one year of previous warehouse work is an asset
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Must be motivated, able to multitask, and work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be safety conscious and detail oriented
  • Ability to follow procedures and work with mínimal supervision
  • Willing to work overtime, alternate shifts
  • Knowledge of TDG, Reg. 347 and Ontario Health and Safety Act an asset
