Description
***: To coordinate all activities associated with food production, service for patients, staff and customers. Ensure that customer and patients alike receive high quality food produced in a food safe production method keeping Service Excellence in mind. To monitor the daily operation of food service department.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:


EDUCATION:

Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.

Eligibility for membership in CSNM

Advance Food Service Handler Certificate mandatory

Completion of a recognized Post-Secondary Education in Institutional Food Service Management


EXPERIENCE:

Previous supervisory experience in a unionized Institutional Food Service

Environment is an asset.


SKILLS:

Perform supervisory duties with confidence and utilizing independent decision

making skills.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the supervision of the unionized Food Service Departmental

Staff.


TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sitting, walking, standing, keyboard use, lifting a maximum of 5 pounds.


TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:

Flexibility, adaptability and strong leadership skills required

Commitment to Service Excellence.

Must be a team player, with strong customer service focus and excellent communication skills.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be available to work rotating shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM, as well as weekends and statutory holidays


Salary:
$27.00-$30.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
Are required to be double vaccinated for COVID-19.
While in the hospital working are required to wear hospital provided face mask.
