Position Vision:


Under the leadership of the VP Community Development, the Projects Coordinator, will work with the community development team as well as all team members at Okimaw Community & HR Solutions.

The Projects Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with project management, scheduling, client relations, government relations, electronic filing, organizing and participating in client meetings, taking minutes, and other administrative tasks.

The Projects Coordinator will always maintain a professional, courteous, kind, respectful, and positive attitude. The Projects Coordinator will have high ethics, integrity, and accountability.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordinating community development projects for the company.

A highlight of the duties and responsibilities include:

  • Monitor project progress and creating project status reports for project managers and stakeholders.
  • Assist with resource scheduling so that team members have the resources they need to complete their tasks.
  • Schedule stakeholder meetings and facilitating communication between the project manager and stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
  • Manage project management documents such as the project plan, budget, schedule or scope statement, as directed by the project manager.
  • Assist with writing proposals.
  • Execute a variety of project management administrative tasks such as billing and bookkeeping.
  • Support team members when implementing risk management strategies.
  • Attend in person meetings when required.
  • Led by the management, participate in team meetings when required including weekly community development meetings with the department.
  • Communicate and build trusting relationships with the team, clients, and community members. Provide the highest level of customer service to clients with a focus on accuracy and meeting all timelines.
  • Promote, enforce, and abide by the Okimaw Community & HR Solutions Human Resources Manual.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 5 plus years of experience in project coordinator position in a similar fast paced environment.
  • Community development background is required.
  • Winnipeg based position.
  • A work from home position. Employee is required to have a computer and internet access.
  • A high stress tolerance.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Works well with others; demonstrates a positive work ethic.
  • Team player and always being collaborative.
  • Client focused.
  • Organization skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Computer skills; Microsoft (word, excel, teams), ability to use the internet, scheduling with Outlook, typing, editing, etc.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work with a very diverse group of people, throughout all levels of the organization, internally and externally, in a timely and professional manner.
  • Committed, reliable, creative, thinking quick on your feet, and multitasking.
  • A willingness to learn.

Job Type:
Permanent


Salary:
$40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
