Queen's College of Business, Technology & Public Safety, established in 1986, is registered as a Private Career College under the PCC Act, 2005. We offer certificate diploma programs in the fields of business, information technology and safety.


We are looking for a student Counsellor/Psychotherapist with a focus on meeting confidentially with students to provide counselling on a wide range of concerns ranging from relationship problems to depression and anxiety, homesickness, suicidal and/or homicidal ideation, post-traumatic stress, academic stress, and more.

Meeting with students in confidence
- this role requires the knowledge, skills and attitudes specific to critical thinking and decision making, ability to analyze and assess presenting mental health concerns and collaborate these mental health concerns with management.


Duties include:


  • Providing personal counselling and psychotherapy to a diverse, international student population.
  • Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment, sessions
  • Conduct counselling and psychotherapy sessions in private, acting as a consultant to faculty, staff, and students on counselling and related matters
  • Conducting guidance workshops and training sessions as needed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with mentally or emotionally disabled students

This role will require scheduled office hours in addition to being available remotely for confidential communication.

Schedule can be flexible but must be available both on-campus and on-line throughout the semester for convenient access to students.



Qualification Requirements:


  • Degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology
  • 35 years of experience in counselling, perferbally students, faculty etc.
  • Must have a CRPO or CCC license holder in good standing

  • Master's Degree (preferred)
