WCI Whyte Communications Inc. (WCI) , part of the Prairie Mobile Group of companies, is looking for experienced 12-volt equipment technicians who can move into an installation position with minimal training.
The Role
- Install communications equipment such as two-way radios, mobile cellular boosters, vehicle modems, consoles, docking stations, and other vehicle-based technologies.
- Install, repair, and maintain equipment across a variety of vehicle types
- Apply technical skills and hands-on experience to ensure quality installations and service work
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional attitude and demeanor.
Qualifications
- Be mechanically inclined and able to work with and maintain hand tools and small power tools.
- 3 years experience in a similar role is a preferred; but will train the right candidate.
- Good communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to install software.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License for travel to customer sites and moving vehicles.
- Must have an acceptable driver's abstract.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance throughout employment.
- Must be physically fit with the ability to bend, stretch, stand for prolonged periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Mobile Electronics Certified Professional designation is an asset but not required.
