What we are looking for:


As an integral member of the Nuclear Medicine team, the technologist performs general Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and SPECT procedures as outlined in the procedure manuals.

The technologist must be capable of all digital post processing of patient data for physician interpretation; paper scanning to PACs; maintaining current knowledge of and utilizing PACS to view, manipulate and archive digital images of data in final image formation; operating, troubleshooting and ensuring equipment and instruments are performing in an effective and efficient manner; preparing written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results; and participating in educational, research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities.

You will be responsible for maintaining safe and up to date Radiation Safety practices in relation to the receiving, preparing, administering, discarding and monitoring of all Radiopharmaceuticals.


What you Bring to Oak Valley Health:
Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) in Nuclear Medicine required
OAMRS/CAMRT Registration is preferred
CAMRT Specialty Certificate in CT Imaging is an asset
BMD experience required
1 year of recent post-graduate Nuclear Medicine clinical experience, including SpectCT is preferred
Knowledge and experience with angio catheter insertions, IV skills and insertion
Experience and exposure to teaching and student mentoring
Evidence of Leadership abilities and any related courses an asset
Demonstration of excellent time management and initiative
Demonstrated commitment to professional development
Demonstrated ability to promote and manage change
Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and team building skills
Demosntrated excellent computer skills
Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
