SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Meeting with vendors to book and manage coop funding for flyer participation in Organic Garage's biweekly flyer.
  • Negotiate and obtain pricing from various distributors for flyer related items on promotion.
  • Creation of Bi-Weekly electronic flyer, including coordinating with brand representatives, and managing all assets for brands. Organizing related content and information for the flyer for third party company to create the flyer based on approved timelines.
  • Interacting with thirdparty printing/mailer company for the final approval of the flyer based on approved timelines.
  • Creation of buyins for purchasing department and stores to buy flyer related products.
  • Creation of signage for instore merchandising of flyer related items
  • Interact with Data Department for the uploading of the flyer into the POS.
  • Working with Data Department to manage the online delivery company storefront (including but not limited to new item classifications, obtaining photos direct from brands and storefront audits).
  • Managing the invoicing process for all flyer related billing based on approved timelines.
  • Creating and posting content on social media channels
  • Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram
  • Collaborating with thirdparty companies regarding social media on promotions and content engagement
  • Booking and executing instore demos, including invoicing, and historical sales analysis
  • Coordinate Marketing events and functions from the planning, execution, follow up and evaluation of the event.
  • Manage the Marketing Calendar of due dates.
  • Developing and documenting processes for Marketing functions such as booking and executing demos, invoicing, and complete management of Eflyers, Website, and POS
  • Sourcing, evaluating, and adding to the revenue generating programs of the department.
  • Creation of special signage as required.
  • Manage any filming for the purposes of movies, commercials, TV Shows including being onsite, negotiating fees, coordinating with operations and the relevant departments for staffing needs.
  • Participate in trade shows on weekends as necessary.
  • Initiate research, development, and implementation of new marketing programs, including direct mail, corporate sales, Internet marketing, conventions, workshops, advertisements, sales tools and other initiatives.
  • Develop and promote branding initiatives consistent with corporate business goals and objectives.
  • Communicate and negotiate with promotional partners as needed for joint marketing activities.
  • Design and attend relevant trade show and convention appearances to build relationships and promote the organization's initiatives.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on competitor activities; make recommendations based on findings/opportunities discovered.
  • Disseminate awareness of new marketing initiatives to all staff
  • Other duties as assigned (implementing planogram changes at select store locations when available/needed)

- at-home environment (80%); some instore availability and trade shows attendance

  • Flexibility: may require occasionally working on weekends to oversee events as coordinated by the Marketing department

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:


  • College and University degree in Business Studies, preferably in Marketing
  • 13 years of direct work experience in a marketing management capacity
  • Excellent understanding and familiarity with brand building and brand management.
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with key business partners, including retailers, wholesalers, and resellers.
  • Experience managing freelancers and contractors.
  • Highly effective project management, prioritization, multitasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in the use of Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience in web design and social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) is an asset.
  • Intermediate to Advance skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • Good organizational, time management, multitasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Professional demeanor under stressful situations
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
