Patrick Regional Secondary is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school with 500 students from Grades 8 to 12 located in Vancouver's picturesque Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, the traditional, unceded, and ancestral territory of the x?m?θk??y? ?m, S?wx_ wú7mesh, and s?lilw?ta? First Nations.

Term:

Core Competencies & Specific Qualities:

  • Compassion and care for the mental well-being of young people
  • Understanding of and affinity for working in a Catholic school environment
  • Dynamic, energetic, willing to work collaboratively with other counsellors and teachers
  • Master's Degree in Counselling
  • Teaching Certification preferred

Responsibilities will include:

  • Meet with and counsel young people in a school setting
  • Refer students to appropriate health care agencies and providers when necessary
  • Liaise with administrators, teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals
  • Work with teachers and student leaders to promote positive mental health, and social and emotional well-being
  • Contribute to co-curricular/extra-curricular life of the school
Priority consideration will be given to applicants with a current pastoral reference.
