Reporting to the Western Business Development Manager, the Business Development Representative will be a key player in driving the growth and advancement of our cutting-edge product solutions with a primary focus on engaging engineers and professionals within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Development:
- Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities by establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, particularly focusing on engineers and decisionmakers.
Drive the adoption of our product solutions through a deep understanding of the construction community, with an emphasis on technical specifications and engineering requirements.

Autonomous Leadership and Team Collaboration:
- Thrive in an autonomous leadership role while actively contributing to a dynamic team of highly skilled colleagues.
Work collaboratively to enhance product awareness, emphasizing its full range of technical solutions.

Technical Expertise:
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of the product's technical scope, market solutions, and services.
Demonstrate strong engineering skills in writing and developing design specifications to effectively communicate with technical audiences.

Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish and maintain close contact with all stakeholders, ensuring a constant dialogue to influence, convert, and sustain engineering standards aligned with our product offerings.
Conduct small group councils, engaging the highest levels of owners, engineers, and product executives for effective development and execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or BCOM. A Master's degree in Mechanical or Construction Management or an MBA will be considered a significant plus.
Industry Experience:
- Extensive and relevant experience within the construction and engineering fields.
- Proven track record in sales, including account management, achieving targets, and successfully driving complex sales at the owner and engineering levels.
Technical Skills:
- Exceptional engineering skills with the ability to develop and articulate design specifications.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
- Professional demeanor and appearance, with a focus on building lasting relationships.
Mobility:
- Willingness to travel as required to engage with clients and stakeholders.
