Description
At EA, we inspire the world to play by developing, publishing, and distributing the world's best games. Our Sports Data & Analytics team is looking for an Advanced Analyst to support our FC franchise.

Reporting to an Analytics Manager, you will be part of a growing team focused on supporting analysis around products and features being developed within the FC ecosystem.

We're looking for someone with a passion for taking a lead role in every stage of enabling data-driven decision making.

You'll not only be a data explorer and modeller, but also a data storyteller who will help guide the franchise to create extraordinary gaming experiences for our players.

What you'll do on our team:

  • Support with analytic modelling around the potential opportunities & risks associated with feature design decisions based on how players engage with our FC titles.
  • Work with the development team to ensure that the proper game telemetry data is set up so that ingame behaviour can be reported on and analysed during feature testing phases.
  • Collaborate with our research teams to provide analysis on player behaviour throughout testing for the purposes of refining features before their launch, using both qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and appropriate targets to measure feature performance against expectations.
  • Perform strategic analysis on the behaviour of the game's players to identify opportunities to improve the player experience after new features are released.
  • Receive questions from our partners, determine the best ways that our data can help answer them, and provide insights through reports, presentations, or dashboards.
  • Lead presentations to diverse audiences including senior management.

What we're looking for:

  • A degree in a quantitative discipline (Analytics, Data Science, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics)
  • 6+ years of experience in an analytics role performing quantitative analysis with big data to help guide decisions.
  • 3+ years of experience independently managing projects and building analysis plans with clear goals & timelines.
  • Expertise in SQL and ability to extract data from large data sources with differing structures.
  • Proficiency analysing large datasets in programmatic analysis tools (e.g. Python, R).
  • Experience with data visualisation software (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Looker).
  • Experience in statistical modelling (e.g. regression, clustering, predictive modelling).
  • Experience defining telemetry requirements for games considered a plus.
  • Passion for playing and thinking about games considered a plus.
