    Reporting to the AVP, Health Solutions Enablement & Growth, the Business Development Manager - Partnerships is accountable for accelerating the Lumino Health business model with respect to identifying and managing relationships that generate income with third party health and wellness partners..

    In this role, you will originate, evaluate, and manage relationships with these Lumino Health partners, ensuring these partnerships deliver on expected business outcomes to drive engagement with Sun Life clients and income. You will play a critical role in shaping the partnerships business strategy to enhance Lumino Health's capabilities as an innovative two-sided marketplace that supports Sun Life clients.

    What will you do?

  • Own development of the business strategy for partnerships including identification of new revenue streams and ongoing merchandising of existing partners.
  • Develop a pipeline of qualified partnership opportunities that meet our strategic priorities by conducting external scouting and research to identify prospects, cultivating an external network of trusted strategic partners.
  • Manage the evaluation and onboarding of potential partners including all relevant due diligence.
  • Develop outreach and contact strategies to support ongoing partner management.
  • Work closely with the Analytics team to develop a key understanding of user behaviour and usage of Lumino Health assets to inform ongoing refinement of the vision, marketing efforts, and offerings to drive partner engagement.
  • Actively pursue promotional opportunities with these partners that drive positive health outcomes, great client engagement and new income for Sun Life.
  • Work closely with marketing, product and other internal teams to bring these opportunities to market, managing our contractual obligations with the partner directly.
  • Own and deliver on the annual income targets, creating a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed these. Targets will include income but also include metrics such as impressions and engagement levels per promotional campaign.
  • Report on results of each promotional campaign with the partner.
  • What do you need to succeed?

  • 3+ years experience working in business development, marketing and partnership management.
  • Experience in identification and implementation of new business models in order to drive new revenue streams.
  • Experience sourcing and managing a large number of partners in the health and wellness space.
  • Exceptional ability to engage and communicate with partners, actively listen for feedback and lead challenging conversations with partners toward positive outcome.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
  • Executive presence: comfortable and credible engaging and presenting with business leaders.
  • Strategic, innovative, and analytical mindset (e.g., comfortable interpreting data to identify actionable insights).
  • Self-starter, motivated, resilient and disciplined, passion for solving business challenges.
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail, ability to manage project tasks across multiple teams.
  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.
  • University-level education
  • Health industry work experience of 5+ years
  • Experience in business development, commercial or strategic roles of 5+ years
  • Background in marketing, product development, and/or business development
