Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) – Central Physiotherapy & Massage - Part-Time

Central Physiotherapy & Massage is a busy, multidisciplinary clinic seeking a motivated and dependable Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is patient-focused, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional clinic setting.

Position Overview

The Physiotherapist Assistant will work under the direction of multiple Physiotherapists to assist with patient care, support clinic operations, and help maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the clinic.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support

• Assist physiotherapists with prescribed exercise programs and treatment plans
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and modalities
• Set up and prepare treatment areas and equipment

Clinic Operations

• Sanitize treatment rooms, gym areas, and equipment according to clinic protocols
• Maintain laundry (linens, towels, pillowcases)
• Ensure treatment areas are clean, stocked, and organized

Administrative Duties

• Assist with front desk coverage as needed
• Direct billing to insurance companies (including WCB, MVA, and extended health benefits)
• Booking appointments and managing schedules
• Handling confidential patient files in compliance with privacy standards
• Supporting clinic management systems (experience with Jane App preferred)

Qualifications

• Kinesiology Degree OR PTA/OTA Diploma (REQUIRED)
• Previous experience in a physiotherapy or rehabilitation clinic is an HUGE asset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment
• Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
• Experience with direct billing is an asset
• Familiarity with Jane App or similar clinic management software is an asset

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
