Overview
The
Coordinator, Educational Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of instructor management within Robertson Global - Winnipeg Campus. Reporting primarily to
Vice President, Global with a secondary report to
Director, Academic, and
Director, Teaching and Learning.


This position plays a pivotal role in the efficient functioning of the instructional team by managing the hiring, contracting, payroll, evaluation, and scheduling of instructors.

This role collaborates closely with the Operations and Education Teams to ensure the department's goals and objectives are met.


Key Responsibilities

  • Instructor Recruitment and Hiring_
  • Collaborate with department heads and HR to identify instructional staffing needs.
  • Develop job postings, advertise openings, and participate in the recruitment process.


  • Contract Management_

  • Administer instructor contracts, ensuring compliance with college policies and relevant regulations.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and terminations.


  • Payroll and Compensation_

  • Coordinate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely instructor payroll processing.
  • Address payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.


  • Performance Evaluation_

  • Implement the performance evaluation system for instructors.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Identify professional development opportunities.


  • Scheduling_

  • Create and maintain instructor schedules to meet program and course requirements.
  • Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate student enrollment and department needs.
  • Cultivating a Positive Learning Environment_
  • In collaboration with the Teaching and Learning department, work with instructors to foster a culture of excellence in teaching.
  • Encourage innovative and effective teaching methods that enhance the learning experience for students.
  • Promote open communication and collaboration among instructors to share best practices and ideas.
  • Establish direct communication with Instructors to receive, record and analyze all feedback.
  • Collaboration and Partnership with Teaching and Learning_
  • Work closely with domestic School Managers and the Education Team to align instructor management practices with departmental goals.
  • Collaborate on curriculum development and improvement initiatives.
  • Instructor Qualification and Orientation_
  • Ensure that all instructors meet qualification requirements and maintain necessary certifications.
  • Organize and oversee instructor orientation programs to acquaint new instructors with college policies, procedures, and educational goals.

Qualifications- Post-secondary credential in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.- Previous experience in instructor management or related roles within an educational institution.- Strong knowledge of employment regulations and best practices in higher education.- Experience with Learning Management Systems such as Brightspace is an asset- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.- Proficiency in HR software, scheduling tools, and payroll systems is an asset.- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.- Strong communication and customer service skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders and team members.- Strong commitment to operational excellence, data integrity, process documentation, and metrics- Highly self-motivated and self-directed; objective-oriented with a high-level attention to detail.- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.- Detail oriented- Strong computer and digital literacy skills; experience with Google suite is an asset.- Ability to work in a diverse, inclusive environment.

  • A clear criminal records check and child abuse registry check.

Schedule:
Flexible hours; Must be able to work evenings at times
