Description
Shift work position, 8 days on and 6 days off
The principal role of a
Field Technician is to work under the direction of the senior field technician to execute field projects, learn all aspects of the job, promote a healthy and safe workplace while ensuring top performance and quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in a field role focused on supporting key client accounts / projects
- Complete technical trouble shooting and field maintenance
- Understanding of well site and facility operations
- Interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams and schematics
- Installation and comprehension of carbon credit vent gas capture systems
Expectations:
- Proficient problem solver with strong attention to detail
- Operating a company vehicle offroad on rugged terrain in changing conditions
- Good knowledge of process systems in regards to conventional oil & gas
- Good mathematical, mechanical and logical reasoning skills
- Effective communication, both verbal and written and reading skills
- Working in a strong team work environment
- Physical demands include: lifts and moves material and equipment weighing up to 50lbs and regular exposure to oil and gas well site or plant environments
- Site work environment can include working at heights, in noisy or dusty environments or fluctuating temperatures
- Travels to and from work sites, travel is required, hotel or camp work is required
- Work in vicinity of high pressure lines and electrical systems
- Installation and routing of stainless steel tubing
Qualifications Qualifications / Experience**:
- High School Diploma
- College or Post-Secondary courses in related field
- All safety tickets (H2S, First Aid, CSO, etc.)
- 2 + years related work experience
- Valid driver's license
Additional Information Please note that travel out of town and camp work is required**- Those willing to relocate will be considered
