The Opportunity


We are currently seeking An Analyst, Learning & Development for the North Atlantic Technical Support to join our Learning & Development team within the North Atlantic.

The work location for this role is primarily Remote within North Atlantic (Sudbury, Thompson & Saint John) with eventual access.


The Analyst will provide technical and system support for Learning Management Systems, including VES, and Vale Learning to North Atlantic L&D Team as well as the broader business operations and support services comprising of more than 6000 users.

Provide answers to users queries and address system and user issues in a timely and professional manner as they relate to Learning Platforms in Vale North Atlantic The Technical Support Specialist works with other stakeholders but most often interacts with general users within the organization.

This is a permanent position, additional in this position, you will;

  • Understand and proactively maintain system performance, having the ability to troubleshoot user issues, explaining processes, walking through howto operations, or by completing administrative steps or changes in the profiles or assignments of users.
  • Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests that related to Company LMS & VES
  • Maintain various aspects of LMS including VES such items, curriculums, assignment profiles as well as learning content files.
  • Manage the functions and back end of Vale's learning platforms in order to walk users through the steps to achieve specific outcomes.
  • Support in the management of Contractor Training profiles and learning platforms
  • Support the business by providing analytical data relative to LMS for both employees and contractors.
  • Aid the team in conceptualizing updates and upgrades that will enhance users' experience.
  • Support training of Company employees and contractors on use of LMS, including VES
  • Always maintain a high level of courteous customer service.

About You

Education:


  • College degree or Undergraduate degree required.

Preferred Training:

  • Tertiary Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.

Experience:


Skills:


  • Data manipulation skills and data interpretation ability.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise and experience in Learning Management Systems or equivalent, preferably SuccessFactors and / or SAP based software systems and ability to be a System Super-User.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and problemsolving skills.
  • Able to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to demonstrate ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage stress and work in a pressurized environment.
  • Selfmotivated and able to work autonomously.
