Job Description Job Description: The Consumer PR Coordinator provides administrative and hands-on support for Consumer PR initiatives across North America. The role requires cross collaboration with other areas of the department and business, acting as a key resource in the execution of all Consumer PR campaigns in North America. You have a strong knowledge of the Canadian media landscape, news cycles, editorial calendars and foundational knowledge of US media landscape, strong proficiency in media monitoring tools, a keen attention to detail, and thrive on keeping information, people and processes organized. Approaching your work with a positive attitude, you have strong project management and communications skills that are best suited for working in a fast-paced, energetic and collaborative environment. About the Role:
    • Responsible for keeping timelines, projects, and campaigns on track
    • Assist with budget tracking by being responsible for processing invoices and POs
    • Act as key point person for North America PR strategy execution, presentations, and PR inputs into Integrated Marketing plans for North America as well as Globally
    • Support with local PR/Marketing events, activations, and experiences
    • Sourcing, selecting and relationship management of North American media in key markets
    • Assist with local marketing strategy including, media relations, monitoring and tracking media coverage
    • Provide administrative support for all PR related activities
    • Work with the CA and US PR agency teams to fulfill product & information requests from media across North America
    • Work closely with internal and external PR teams to evaluate and provide recommendations on media relations/seeding targets, KPIs, etc.
    • Develop product and campaign pitches as needed
    • Proactively pitch and monitor for coverage in the US and Canada as needed
    • Review and provide feedback on PR agency media lists, pitch material, etc.
    • Support Global PR team by tracking and pulling metrics weekly/monthly
    • Contribute to PR reports as needed
    • Contribute to weekly Marketing Leadership reports as needed
    • Manage and ensure coverage tracking is up to date across all campaign and Product Initiatives
    • Work closely with the Integrated Marketing coordinator to track and coordinate product orders and samples for North American media
    • Participate in team and department brainstorms and conduct market research as required
    • Participate in regular PR status calls with internal Global PR team and external PR agency teams
    • Coordinate messengers/courier services and handle all shipping on behalf of the North America marketing team
    About you:
    • Experience using media monitoring platforms (Meltwater, Muckrack, TVEyes)
    • Clear understanding of the Canadian / North American media landscape
    • Previous experience with proactive/reactive media relations both in Canada and the US
    • Experience supporting, planning and execution of media events, previews and experiences
    • Natural connector who works well with others internally and externally, positive team player that exudes a positive and personable attitude
    • A clear and succinct communicator (verbal and written); excellent listening skills
    • Extremely detail oriented with strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills
    • Obsessed with creating efficiencies and driving the business
    • Strong ability to multi-task and "roll up sleeves" to get the job done
    • Creativity and demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of change
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft office (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
