Purchasing Analyst


Future Electronics is looking for a highly motivated and innovative team player to join the Corporate Purchasing team to support the organization in obtaining the optimal products & services while factoring in all costs, terms, and conditions.


The individual will be involved in needs analysis, vendor selection, negotiations, as well as many other aspects of the procure to pay process (ex: Requisition tracking, Purchase order management, spend approval, supplier management, reporting, etc.) and various special projects including process improvement initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate requisitions on a timely basis;
  • Work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure needs are met and manage procurement all issues;
  • Negotiate product & service contracts to ensure best value is obtained;
  • Leverage technology to streamline and automate the purchasing process in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Conduct market research to be better informed on product and pricing
  • Prepare Purchase Orders in Oracle System and manage supporting documentation;
  • Conduct RFI, RFQ, RFP, prepare bid analysis and negotiation strategies;
  • Review service contracts, seeking legal advice, negotiate changes with contractors, write; amendments and /or addendums;
  • Maintain contract records and track all up coming renewals;
  • Manage various projects by tracking scope, costs and schedule.
  • Think outside the box and offer practical alternatives to the status quo to obtain savings and/or offer better service.
  • Assist with the management and allocation of company assets such as cellphones, software licensing, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Good analytical skills with the ability to factor in the needs of different stakeholders;
  • Flexible with an ability to support a fastpaced environment by ensuring multiple priorities are managed;
  • Above average computer skills with a strong desire to learn and leverage technology to streamline processes;
  • MS Office (Excel 5/5, Word 4/5, Powerpoint 3/5);
  • Experience in Data analytics (Power Query, Power BI, SQL) would be a plus;
  • Prior automation experience would be considered an asset (ie: VBA, Python, etc.);
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and French
  • University degree in a field relevant to procurement or relevant experience
  • Good understanding on contract terms and conditions.
