Role Summary/Purpose


The Pumpjack Technician will report to the Leduc Supervisor and will play an important role in a number of tasks associated with the operation, rig-up / down of equipment & tools and related equipment in the shop, yard, or location.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Pickup and delivery of pumps while following established guidelines for transportation.
  • Tear down and repair Pumpjacks, inspection of pumps for corrosion wear and pitting, air testing, pump out procedures used in the repairs.
  • Performs general store, shipping, receiving and counter duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Maintains warehouse in an orderly manner and other duties as assigned.
  • Fully participate in EHS Management Program and comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety regulations
  • Ensure compliance in respective areas of control with all QHSE Management System requirements, policies and procedures
  • Ensure product quality, workmanship and conformance to all applicable processes, requirements and regulatory standards in accordance with the established quality assurance system
  • Be a proactive team member and identify particular needs for product lines and/or processes
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions, analyze, and interpret working drawings, technical specifications, etc.
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Experience with overhead lifting equipment
  • High School GED (General Education Diploma) or equivalent
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions with mínimal supervision
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and oncall, as required
