    Your Contribution

    As an Environmental Technician, you will work in collaboration with the Environmental Team.

    Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules
  • Record field data and prepare reports based on established templates;
  • Coordinate and maintain field equipment maintenance, charging and repairs, as required;
  • Coordinate and complete environmental fieldwork, sampling, and reporting for senior review, as required;
  • Coordinate and complete environmental drilling and test pitting programs, including geotechnical focused fieldworks and combined geo-environmental fieldwork;
  • Collect groundwater, surface water and potable water samples, and sediment sampling, as required;
  • Complete laboratory chains of custody for sample submission and prepare detailed field notes/records;
  • Be familiar with excess soils, environmental and contaminated site guidelines;
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and adaptability to scheduling changes and occasional overtime is required;
  • Travel between worksites will be required locally, with occasional need to travel provincially or nationally to urban and remote areas;
  • Perform other field and office responsibilities, as required to support Englobe's multi-disciplinary projects;
  • Conduct project administration tasks as required, including timesheet generation.
  • Your Profile

  • Post-secondary education in environmental sciences and/or engineering technology or equivalent, preferred;
  • At least 2-3 years of related work experience in a field setting is required;
  • Eligibility to obtain federal security clearance required;
  • Already obtained (Reliability or Secret) security clearance is considered a significant asset;
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills;
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills;
  • Strong organization and planning skills;
  • Strong ability to multi-task;
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and work in outdoor settings during the year;
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure;
  • Access to a reliable personal vehicle is required, as well as a valid Driver's License;
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
