What you can expect in a typical day:

This role is responsible for the day-to-day servicing of our customers through troubleshooting and performing diagnostic activities in regards to service equipment within established policies and procedures.

Your roles and responsibilities:


  • Diagnose system problems by completing steps required during inspection, including checking gas flow, thermostats, heat flow, and insulation etc.
  • Fix problems that occur by reviewing diagnostics and using the proper tools to complete repairs
  • Provide final inspections of systems once repairs are completed to ensure all equipment is operating safely
  • Foster good customer relations by explaining to customers what service work was performed
  • Complete appropriate daily paper work for each service call
  • Maintain daily and yearly inventory
  • Ensure that service truck is in good working order and reliable
  • Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity

Professional skills:


  • Licensed Oil Burner Heating Technician
  • Dual license (Oil and Gas) an asset.
  • Knowledge of wiring, plumbing, and some air conditioning is required
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Safety focused required

Education and experience:


  • Licensed Oil Burner Heating Technician
  • Dual license (Oil and Gas) an asset.
