The Addiction Recovery Center (ARC) is a voluntary medical detoxification program that supports a safe and therapeutic environment for individuals experiencing withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs. Looking for experienced, caring, strength-based nursing staff to join our multidisciplinary team. This position supports completing the medical assessments on those presenting to our door seeking services, triaging the admissions, administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs and withdrawal symptoms, and adjusting the treatment as clinically indicated. You will be actively involved with the day-to-day medical/physical/educational needs of our clients providing client-centered, trauma informed, concurrent capable approach to ensure emotional and psychological support is provided. This position requires flexibility and responsiveness to an acute environment. Strong clinical skills, organizational skills, and communication skills (both verbal and written) with a diverse range of clients, their families, professionals and the public are a must. Shift Pattern: Days, Nights, Weekends changing to Days, Evenings, Weekends on July 15, 2024. hours, 40 shifts in 12 weeks changing to hours, 57 shifts in 12 weeks on July 15, 2024

As a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), you will provide leadership through a wide variety of nursing services to patients (clients, residents) for the purpose of promoting, maintaining or restoring health, mental health and preventing mental illness, injury and disability. You will teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and take necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care, while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $ - $ Upon being entered into the register of Registered Psychiatric Nurses, the rate of pay shall be adjusted to the rate of pay applicable to a Registered Psychiatric Nurse in accordance with AHS/UNA Article or (ii) as applicable. Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited Psychiatric nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta (CRPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
