Trillium Health Partners Pharmacy Department is seeking a motivated and passionate undergraduate Health Sciences student to join our team for a summer placement as a Research Assistant within the Pharmacy Department.

Working closely with the Research Resource Pharmacist and other researchers in the oncology pharmacy portfolio, the successful applicant will support the data collection and knowledge dissemination aspects of several key projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting literature reviews and environmental scans to identify best practices and emerging trends related to the projects.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating communication for information exchange and to solicit feedback from diverse stakeholders regarding the project(s).
  • Support the design and dissemination of culturally appropriate educational materials, presentations, where required.
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, synthesizing findings, and contributing to project reports and publications.
  • Collaborate with project leads to identify opportunities for new project plans.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance professional development and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Other duties, as required

Qualifications:


  • Currently enrolled in a university health sciences program.
  • Background training and or knowledge of health care (service delivery and access) with a specific interest in oncology or pharmacy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  • Familiarity with qualitative research methods, data collection techniques, and analysis tools.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles, with a passion for advancing health equity and social justice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment and adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
