    About the role

    As a Senior Business Advisor, Claims Operations you will be responsible to update, validate and distribute reports to management on a regular basis, participate in various analyses and assist with small to large scale projects as assigned. You will be leading change in assessing our protocols and processes to make improvement recommendations. This role will be working directly with Claims Operations, and closely with the Claims Leadership team in the Atlantic region.

    What you'll do here:

  • Analyze reports, identify trends in data and provide commentaries where applicable.
  • Assess and recommend improvement to current processes and protocols.
  • Leverage your technical skillset to propose innovative solutions to solve operational problems, including but not limited to the creation of simple tools, automation of insights, optimize information management within the operations.
  • Create, automate and maintain reports and present recommendations to management in a clear and concise format.
  • Lead small to large scale projects with stakeholders across the operation to enhance efficiency, improve customer service, and reduce leakage.
  • Prepare presentations for Management in a clear, concise way.
  • Act as a technical resource to support day-to-day operations.
  • What you bring to the role:

  • A quantitative background (Education in Finance, Economics, CPA)
  • University Degree or College Diploma
  • 5 years or more of relevant experience
  • Experience with developing operational reporting is considered a strong asset
  • Experience with leading moderately complex analyses is considered a strong asset
  • Strong ability to think critically, adaptable, analytical, and highly innovative
  • Self-driven, autonomous and solution-oriented
  • Ability to communicate technical analyses in a clear, concise way
  • Strong experience with programming languages and data management (SAS, SQL, Python, VBA, PowerApps)
  • Desirable competencies: adaptability, innovative, analytical, decision making, critical thinking, clear communication, planning and organizing, team oriented.
  • Property & Casualty insurance and claims knowledge an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset. Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country.
