Your Job
DarkVision is seeking a Data Team Lead to join our growing organization.

You will manage a team of around eight Data Analysts producing paid client deliverables, ensuring a high quality of work is reliably maintained while partnering with multiple groups to continue innovating our service offerings.


Our Team
DarkVision's acoustic imaging technology captures terabytes of high-fidelity data with each run.

Our data analysis team plays a critical role in the commercial process by analyzing these massive ultrasound datasets using our proprietary visualization software.

They are meticulous, methodical, and thorough in providing customers with critical insights that lead to multi-million-dollar actions.


What You Will Do

  • Learn the delivery standards and workflow processes for your assigned product line(s).
  • Regularly check in with team members to:
  • Assess their current capacity
  • Mitigate inefficiencies in the workflow and remove stuck points
  • Build a roadmap for their role development within the team
  • Through frequent 1:1 meetings, track team members' progression in their role, deliver constructive feedback, and ensure they receive proper recognition for their work
  • Facilitate communication between your team and other teams and upper management:
  • Messaging in the right place, to the right people, with the right info in a timely manner
  • Ensure employees are aware and aligned with the business' Vision, and that the goals and direction of the team help drive achievement of the Vision
  • Facilitate the improvement of workflow procedures and best practices; seek out new solutions, poll the team for feedback, and investigate where bottlenecks are occurring
  • Review projects assigned to analysts on your team; responsible for the content and delivery of projects, whether directly or indirectly
  • Make informed recommendations for hiring, raises/promotions, performance management, and further training
  • Set project deadlines, assign project leads, and manage followup requests Forecast team capacity vs. projected projects, offering transparency to stakeholders

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience managing a team in a technical (STEM) environment Experience managing early career individuals

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience managing teams with at least 5 team members
  • Knows "what good looks like" in established structured environments while having the agility and entrepreneurial spirit to thrive in a startup/scaleup environment
  • Astute attention to detail and analyticalnatured; comfortable and competent in being responsible for the final review of client deliverables
  • Able to disseminate complex information and generate pragmatic solutions
  • Abie to assess and adjust work processes to meet scaling requirements; delegate and prioritize work effectively among the team
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry (e.g. well integrity, well logging)
  • Exposure to industrial asset or equipment inspections
  • Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal) and collaboration skills
