Marathon Underground is currently seeking full-time Geotechnical/Environmental Drillers and Helper with AZ or DZ licence to join our growing team in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.
-
Driller: 3 years experience with vertical drilling operations, experience with CME55/75/850 or equivalent.
- Confident operating and maintaining Geotechnical drill rigs.
- Employing rock coring, mud rotary, and auger drilling techniques.
- Developing and maintaining boring logs and daily reports.
Helper: Minimum of 1-year experience with drilling operations and 1-year general construction experience.
- Collecting disturbed and undisturbed soil samples and rock samples and data at various depth intervals.
- Record basic material descriptions, depth of material, changes, water level measurements and results of downhole tests.
All positions
- DZ/AZ license and clean drivers abstract is considered a strong asset.
- A valid driver's licence is
required for all positions. - Ability to work evenings, weekends and shift work as required.
- Travel within Canada will be required for this position.
- Job sites are outside and operate yearround, must be willing to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds frequently throughout the day.
Salary:
$25-$30 per hour
