Salary/Benefits:

$62, $77,536.00 per annum, as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement, with annual increments up to a maximum salary of $99, Non-instructional faculty employees receive 210 hours of vacation annually, pro-rated and front-loaded, based on FTE, as well as time off paid between the Christmas and New Year's Day period. We offer an extremely competitive extended health and dental program.


Description:


Under limited supervision of the Director of International Education, the International Recruitment and Business Development Coordinator is the lead for the international recruitment and international business development efforts of the College.

The Coordinator is responsible for relations with overseas representatives and agents, developing and maintaining recruitment markets, representing the College at international fairs, developing international business opportunities for the College, leading marketing and communications for the department, and supporting admissions and enrolment processes.

Regional travel as well as participation in Canada-wide and international travel and recruitment is required.

The position may assist in other related duties and/or projects as assigned and could be required to work some non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends.


Qualifications:


This position will require you to have the ability to work independently, to develop and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships, and to be an active and supportive team member.


  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, international studies or equivalent;
  • 5 years' experience in an educational or customer service environment;
  • 2 years' experience in international recruitment in Canadian higher education;
  • Experience developing and maintaining recruitment or business relations in Asia, Africa, and/or Latin America
  • Understanding of international higher education field in Canada and overseas;
  • Experience developing marketing materials, websites, and social media presence;
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to act professionally and diplomatically at fastpaced international events; and
  • Experience making arrangements for and undertaking business travel overseas.
  • Speaks another language, such as Chinese, Arabic, or Vietnamese;
  • Additional training in International Education or International Business Development; and has
  • Experience developing international programs, projects, or contracts in higher education.
