Description

The Houseperson is responsible for the general day-to-day upkeep, safety, and tidiness of the common areas of the Witmar Hotel Properties (the Recreation Inn & Suites and the Dilworth Inn) including but not limited to, interior and exterior cleaning and light maintenance.

They support the entire hotel team including housekeeping, breakfast, laundry, maintenance, and front desk, ensuring guests have a positive and welcoming impression of the properties and the best possible experience while staying at them.


Duties include:


  • Complete daily property checks inside/outside to ensure the property is clean, safe and presentable at all times.
  • Complete project lists and tasks as directed.
  • Greet all guests in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner with every interaction.
  • Strip rooms of linens, garbage/recycling and transfer items to laundry and disposal areas.
  • Restock housekeeping storage rooms with linens, amenities, and other items as required and maintain stock supplies with regular inventory informing supervisors of depleted stock and needed items.
  • Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and dust common areas including hallways, stairways, pool area, lobby, staff room, public bathrooms, breakfast rooms, and other hotel amenities as required.
  • Waste disposal: empty exterior garbage in parking lots, smoking, and sitting areas and transport hotel trash and recycling to designated disposal areas.
  • Work with maintenance team to complete minor repairs as needed.
  • Assist front desk and respond to guest requests while consistently offering professional, friendly service.
  • Work with landscaping and maintenance team to ensure all guest walkways are free of debris, leaves, and snow and spread salt and/or antislip safety materials as needed.
  • Ensure that all appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up and posted prior to performing duties that could cause slips/falls or any other safety risks and taken down when job is completed and risk has been removed.
  • Use all appropriate safety and protective equipment and supplies when handling hazardous waste and/or chemicals and follow established techniques, procedures, and policies for proper storage, mixing, and disposal of chemicals and solutions used for cleaning.
  • Complete daily or weekly housekeeping reports as directed by Manager.
  • Assist housekeeping by cleaning rooms and supporting laundry functions when hotel is busy, short staffed, or as requested.
  • Other duties as requested by Manager.

Pay:
$19.00-$21.00 per hour
