What you can expect:

Given the scope of this business unit and its critical importance to our overall production process this role would provide Subject Matter Expertise to the Shipping & Logistics process at a Shop Floor Leadership Level

  • Develop team to solve daytoday operational issues and reach short
- & long-term performance goals

  • Collect, measure, analyze and report area Scorecard/KPI objectives (TU, Pallet/hr, Dwell Time, Cost)
  • Action and plan to improve Uptime in all functions of material movement
  • Lead proactively to LOE EHS results, Culture/Mindset
  • Monitor and lead good Quality Assurance, GMP, HACCP, Allergen, sanitation, and housekeeping practices.
  • Communicate crossfunctionally to assist team to solve operational issues
  • Manage performance and employee behaviour, motivate team members to achieve plan goals
  • Organize and facilitate work team meetings (examples: preshift, roundtables, etc.)
  • Solve daily operational issues
  • Administer policies and practices Initiate and implement projects
  • Conduct presentations and formal training programs
  • Improve team communication and engagement
  • Think quickly, creatively and challenge team to do the same

  • Shared supervision of hourly reports during shifts, and 7 day 24hr followup
  • Ensure hourly team understands Food Safety, Quality requirements and take appropriate action
  • The incumbent will support, lead, and document all investigations/RCA leveraging CI Tools
  • The Front-Line Leader will be challenged to empower their hourly team to achieve maximum effectiveness through decision making, problem solving and skill acquisition.
  • Of significance is the incumbent's ability to communicate effectively with his or her team and with other Business Units. Maintaining effective employee relations supported by good contract administration requires awareness and sensitivity to team members.
  • Administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Qualifications:

Job Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a Supply Chain environment and/or previous experience in a food distribution or CPG Experience in Warehousing and Transportation is an asset
  • Superior analytical skill Strong organizational, leadership and time management skills Ability to lead teams through collaborative processes (developing AOP, SBP and period reviews and action planning
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a unionized work environment
  • Ability to create a safe working environment, ensuring that all members are knowledgeable of good safety practices and procedures
Knowledge of GMP and experience managing Quality incidents

  • Ability to give/receive constructive feedback
  • Knowledge Continuous Improvement Processes
  • Team based approach to decision making with demonstrated people and leadership skills
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills
  • Project management skills
  • Flexible willingness to work off shifts and weekends
