- Recent experience in advanced practice Skin and Wound Care patient management required.
- Experience in staff education required.
- Patient and family education/counseling required.
- Experience in program planning an asset.

- Baccalaureate of Nursing required.
- Master's A.P.N. preferred.
- Successful completion of a recognized wound care program required. Recognized wound care programs: Enterostomal Therapy (through the Canadian Association of Enterostomal Therapists (CAET) or Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) (Nursing only). University-affiliated advanced wound care education programs such as: Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC), University of Western Ontario Masters of Clinical Science in Wound Healing and Grant MacEwan University. Certificate in Wound Management. Equivalent programs as determined by the WRHA wound care education subcommittee, such as Wounds Canada Foundations of Wound Care Course.
- CRNM registration required.

Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Director or Delegate the wound and skin consultant will demonstrate: a commitment to the Values, Mission, Vision and Management Philosophy of Seven Oaks General Hospital, a responsibility for activities to ensure an effective hospital wide skin and wound care program. Activities are to include: facilitating seamless care with coordination of all patient activities on an inpatient basis, acting as a liaison between interprofessional staff (including physicians) to administer care in accordance with, the WRHA policies and guidelines and evidence informed practice, acting as a resource to translate knowledge to patients' families and staff and participating in site and regional working groups and committees.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
