As our Project Scheduler, you will be responsible to:

  • Ensure scheduling objectives are met
  • Maintain an up to date database of staff which specifies their level of training, location of training and required health and safety training
  • Estimate upcoming staffing requirements for the continued efficiency of company operations
  • Provide alternative scheduling for conflicts, taking into account the required level of training required for each position and location
  • Advise management of the status of work in progress and any potential problems to ensure that employees and services are provided as needed
  • Visit worksites as required for onsite coordination and scheduled meetings.
  • Demonstrate work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training
  • Work with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes with scheduling

Qualifications required:


  • Related college diploma or formal certification and typically 3+ years of planning and scheduling experience; or combination of formal education and experience.
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Project experience required
  • Experience in a similar position with an Electrical/Instrumentation contractor preferred.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Sound planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanour
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to periodically travel to worksites
