Description
We are looking for a talented Project Scheduler to join our #NewPower Business Unit in Mississauga, Ontario.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- In this constantly changing environment you will focus on overseeing project risk mitigations to ensure we keep on track to deliver our customers products. Being the lead internal project scheduler, you will collaborate closely with our procurement, engineering, manufacturing, testing, packaging and logistics teams. You will manage internal project progress, reporting on and indicating (potential) delivery delays, so our Project Managers can update our customers and initiate internal mitigation actions.
You will also be:
- Assisting the Project Managers with preparation of baseline projects schedules, identification of delays and developing and monitoring recovery plans whenever required.
- Overseeing project schedules, you will be collaborating with Project Managers, setting tasks, and monitoring the execution of project timelines.
- Developing standard product templates with a resource load & capacity planning should indicate & report our current & future sourcing bottle necks & gaps.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Schedule Management
- Manages the project schedule using the recommended project management tools and processes to drive completion within the agreed timeline.
- Scope Management
- Manages a list of project deliverables (scope) using the recommended project management tools and processes to ensure that the project includes all the work required and only the work required to complete the project successfully.
- Project Resource Management
- Develops resource (expense and headcount) plans using recommended project management tools and processes to manage resources effectively.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience, required
- Project scheduler develops and manages time schedules for projects
- Solid industry knowledge, within either a manufacturing or oil & gas environment.
- Experience of coordinating and scheduling a multidisciplinary technical team through design, procurement, and construction & commissioning phases of projects.
- Minimum of five years project relatedwork experience i sector, either as a project manager, controller, or scheduler.
- Exceptional communication skills, ideally with Dutch as your main language, but English is our main business language so this is essential.
