- Working closely with Business Lead and Managers, Project Directors with a focus on civil design for linear infrastructure
- Coordinating all aspects of the civil design including being responsible for the design
- Developing or verifying the technical scope of a project
- Completing civil designs following the budget and schedule
- Participating in design coordination meetings and address critical issues
- Working closely with the engineering group to facilitate decision making related to the civil design,
- Ensuring the client's requirements including specifications and standards are integrated into the project
- Ensuring quality controls processes are being followed
- Mentoring and develop junior staff
- Representing GHD at Client meetings when required
- Bachelor's ( degree in civil engineering from a recognized college or university and
- Minimum of 10 years' of extensive technical design experience
- Demonstrable experience in civil design delivery for larger, multi discipline projects with a focus on linear infrastructure
- Experience working in a Design Build environment
- Detailed understanding of local Agency (or equivalent) Codes and Standards is considered essential
- Experience working in an integrated 3D environment
- Team building and mentoring skills

Due to continuing growth in our Engineering Design Organization, we are seeking a Lead Civil Engineer based out of one of our Western Canada offices. This position will be integral in the development and growth of GHD's Civil practice.
