Job Summary


You would be primarily responsible for maintaining established distribution procedures which provide for the shipment of all inventory and non-inventory items.

Responsible for compliance to Quality System Regulations and all departmental policies and procedures.

Provides intermittent coverage for receiving, wheelchair assembly, or other warehouse duties as needed to help cover vacations or peak periods in the warehouse.


Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for processing packages for shipment in accordance with specification and work instructions.
  • Responsible for responding to internal or external customer requests for shipping information, quotation, status, etc.
  • Responsible for restocking materials and product.
  • Responsible for learning a variety of shipping systems such as Purolator, UPS, Fed Ex, JDE Trax, and any other systems used by Sunrise Medical.
  • Responsible for learning and maintain up to date knowledge of a variety of warehouse workstations for ability to flex into other job functions as needed for vacation or peak period coverage.
  • Assists with inventory control and the facility cycle count program.
  • Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines in the warehouse.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • Minimum of one year shipping/warehouse/forklift experience required; two years experience in these areas preferred
  • Must be able to obtain any required equipment certifications
  • Ability to read and comprehend (in English) simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos including but not limited to material safety data sheets, work orders, work instructions, manuals, policies, etc.
  • Must have basic computer skills
