Qualifications:

Experience painting industrial material
Physically fit and capable of lifting 50+ lbs
Experience working in the construction industry (considered an asset)
Basic hand and power tool experience (asset)
Ability to read drawings (asset)
Ability to read tape measure in imperial and metric (strong asset)
Lift truck certification (considered an asset)
Strong work ethic
Punctual
Willingness to learn and be trained
Able to work with others

Responsibilities:

Remain safety conscious at all times, wearing all required PPE and by observing safety rules stated in the Employee Handbook, operating procedures and relevant regulations
Cleaning and preparing structural steel components for painting
Paint all products in the Metal Fab Shop for site
Provide production support as needed
Utilize various hand and power tools as needed
Maintain an organized and safe working space
Check work along the way to ensure it's up to specifications
Perform other duties as requested by the department manager

Location:

Newton Group Ltd. 41 Massey Road, Guelph, ON Canada N1H 7M6

Shift:
Afternoons

Hours: 44 hours per week + overtime

Overtime:
Paid at time and one half after 88 hours biweekly
