Northern Wellness Group is a rapidly growing Healthcare Staffing Agency.We are in need of enthusiastic, professional and certified PSWs to join our team on a Part-Time or Casual basis to help us cater to our LTC residents.

What You Will Do:
- Provide care service according to directions on the established care plan or assignment sheet, and ensure that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent
- Provide care that is within the provincial scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker; duties may include skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel and bladder care, positioning and movement, exercise, basic wound care, feeding including special diets, and assistance with oxygen administration and medication reminder.
- Perform specialized, client specific procedures for which recognized training and current competency can be demonstrated.
- Observe and document client conditions according to company standards; report unusual events or changes in the client's condition to the immediate Supervisor.
- Understands and implements infection prevention practices
- Adhere to Northern Wellness Group Policies and Procedures.
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System.
- Participates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties and is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate NWG personnel.
- Complete other tasks as requested
What You'll Need:
- Must be a graduate from a recognized Personal Support Worker program, Health Care Aide Program
- Level 1 First Aid, CPR / AED Certificate.
- Must be able to walk, sit and stand for an extend period of time
- Must be able to bend, reach and lift
- Must be able to carry and transport object of various sizes up to 25 lbs.
- Recent experience working with geriatrics or longterm care
- Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to engage and support the seniors you care for
- Excellent communicator, resilient and flexible to meet the changing priorities
- Ability to resolve contentious or sensitive issues or situations independently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of client information
- Own a smartphone
- Familiarity with retirement industry resources is considered an asset
- Must be double vaccinated + Booster
- $20.00-$25.00 /hr
- Up to $500 signing bonus
- Paid Vacation
- Paid Mileage if you reside 50+ KMs from site
