The highly acclaimed Interior Design studio, House of Bohn, located in Vancouver, BC is looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Project Manager to join the design team House of Bohn is high-energy, fast paced environment, loves collaborating, and is proud of the amazing talent that makes up the company.

This Project Manager will be responsible for working closely with all members of the design team and manage multiple projects, ranging from commercial to residential projects.

The successful applicant will ensure that projects are on schedule and are running smoothly, while ensuring client satisfaction.


Job description:

• Report to Creative Director
• Manage multiple projects at varying phases
• Oversee all design projects as it relates to:
• Scheduling
• Deliverables
• Resourcing
• Manage and organize the design team on daytoday basis
• Respond to daytoday design questions
• Ensure projects are running smoothly:
• Ensure deliverables are met
• Handle 'Friday Updates'
• Maintain client communication
• Ensure project hours are adhered to
• Ensure project schedules are met
• Oversee and manage resourcing internal budget and project hours
• Report on project progress at our Monday Morning Meetings
• Monitor project schedules and ensure timelines and milestones are accomplished
• Contract Management
• Ensure contract scope is adhered to
• Prepare WA's when additional scope/fee is required
• Oversee construction drawing production
• Maintain Quality
• Redline drawings
• Provide mentorship to design team, where needed
• Oversee contract administration
• Review CA drafts
• Handle signoffs
• Provide mentorship to design team, where needed
• Participate in Consultant Coordination
• Provide mentorship to Intermediate and Junior Design Team as it pertains to processes, drawing production and contract administration

Additional duties would include:

• Actively participate in our company's Monday Morning Meeting and report on project progress
• Scheduling
• Deliverables
• Resourcing
• Attend client meetings with the CD and the appointed project Designer
• Understand and uphold our project process
• Participate in project planning
• Act as a support to design team where needed
• Participate in proposal writing
• Assess and analyze incoming RFP's
• Determine scope and fee
• Collaborate with Sales Coordinator
• Prepare Work Authorizations
• Prepare WA's when additional or changes in scope occur (resulting in additional design fees)
• Hold a Degree or Diploma in Interior Design
• Previous experience as a Senior Designer
• Minimum 8 years experience in the interior design industry
• Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications and millwork packages
• Excellent understanding of BC building code
• Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
• Selfstarter and takes initiative
• Familiarity with Hospitality, Retail, and Residential design
• Be extremely organized, and show a history of managing multiple projects
• Must be an analytical thinker
• Must be processdriven
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD
• Be able to work in a fastpaced environment, both independently and as a team
• Excellent communication skills

Salary:
$80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
