    BASIC PURPOSE :

  • Provide specific day to day guidance and direction to the Facilities team by planning, organizing and leading the team. This includes the maintenance, upkeep and projects related to the company buildings, systems and yards.
  • Guide the team to success by coaching, training, counseling, leading and motivating.
  • DUTIES:

  • Lead, develop, train, and motivate team members
  • Assign work to team members, taking into account each individual's abilities
  • Lead major projects while minimizing disruption to production (shutdown, weekends, etc.)
  • Guide team members on how to work safely and advise Maintenance & Facilities Leader of major safety concerns
  • Provide assistance to team members in the effectiveness of their methods by demonstrating tasks and by checking the quality of their work
  • Work with the Engineering groups to organize project work by ensuring the materials, tooling and equipment necessary to do the job are in place
  • Manage the upkeep of Bourgault Rental facilities.
  • Ensure all team members have the required training to effectively perform all aspects of their required duties
  • Develop and maintain a "Continuous Improvement" culture focusing on the elimination of waste while striving to provide increased value to our customers, both internal and external
  • Perform hands-on duties, when time permits
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Strong organizational & planning abilities
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Project)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • High degree of analytical thought and creativity
  • Experience with leading and supervising
  • Supervisor pre-promotion training is an asset but not a requirement at this time.
