Reporting to the Director or Human Resources, Manager of Equity Initiatives is responsible for providing leadership in developing, implementing and coordinating initiatives that support and advance diversity, equity and inclusion (EDI) initiatives at 360°kids.

This will include working with staff, leadership, the Board, funders and community partners.

One of the first initiatives will be to work with multiple stakeholders to develop and implement a Black youth long-term affordable housing model.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development of initiatives that advances equity initiatives across 360°kids
  • Lead and coordinate the implementation of EDI strategies across 360°kids
  • Participate in initiatives across the sector that promotes and advances equity for diverse youth client populations
  • Support the implementation of targeted equity initiatives including antiBlack racism programming, 2SLGBTQ+ and indigenous supports
  • Participate in initiatives that build their own knowledge of current and evidenceinformed practices related to EDI.
  • Work with and support the engagement of consultants who are advising the organization on EDI matters.
  • Make recommendation to the management team on relevant training opportunities to help build the knowledge, awareness and capacity of staff around EDI matters.
  • Coordinate and facilitate staff training to build organizational capacity
  • Consult with relevant stakeholders to support the development and implementation of EDI programs and activities
  • Develop funding proposals to support the implementation of EDI initiatives.
  • Develop and provide reports and related information as required to the Executive team, Board of Directors, other designated organizations, and appropriate regulatory agencies.
  • Other duties as required.

Education and skills required:


  • Significant experience (3+ years) leading EDI initiatives whether as a staff role or as a consultant
  • An undergraduate degree or diploma in the Human Services (Psychology, Social Work, Gender studies, etc. ) or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in project planning, communication, and execution.
  • Experience working with homeless and/or atrisk populations of youth
  • Current vulnerable sector screening
  • Excellent communication, facilitation skills, and interpersonal skills including superior presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Subject matter expert in various topics pertaining to equity, diversity and inclusion gained through either study, practical experience of leading and supporting EDI initiatives or a combination of both
  • Relationship building and management skills, with sensitivity and tact, to build and maintain effective relationships with peers, staff, partners, government, funders, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office with the ability to prepare and write reports/records and maintain same
  • Ability to effectively perform job duties with minimum supervision.
Regular shift work, Monday to Friday, flexibility to work occasional evenings and/or weekends,. Job duties take place in an office environment with mínimal exposure to hazards or disagreeable conditions. Work involves frequent computer use and times of concentration. Some travel required to other 360°kids' sites and within the community.
