Reporting to the Bulk Production Manager, you will benefit from the skills and knowledge of an experienced labelling team who are committed to continuous improvement.
The successful incumbent will monitor and facilitate the continuous operation of the machinery for the Labelling Shrink Wrapper / Heat Tunnel.
Along with this, they will be responsible for recording clerical and food safety documents depending on what product is being run.
This position may be required to work 8, 10, and/or 12-hour rotating shifts.Operates multi-function and/or single functions process control machinery through control panels, computer terminals or other control systems to label vegetable food product cans
Controls process start up and shut down and performs trouble shooting to resolve problems
Makes adjustments to processing variables such as ingredient inputs, fill weight, flow rates, line speeds, and temperature settings
Prepares equipment for maintenance
Ensures conformance to quality assurance standards
Ensures safe and proper operation of the Labelling Shrink Wrapper / Heat Tunnel machines as per SOP's and in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices
Maintains shift logs of production and other data
Participates in safety audits, food safety programs, and emergency response
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Demonstrates work place safety is a priority
Must be capable of speaking, reading, and writing English at a Level 3 requirement
Must have a high level of mechanical aptitude
You are able to troubleshoot and problem solve in an effective manner
You are able to work in a temperate/warm environment
You are able to work 8, 10, and/or 12-hour rotating shifts
Proven ability to work effectively as a team
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs
