    We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented professional with strong transformational leadership skills to establish an internal Business support and transformation service within the City.

    As the manager of a new service, this is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a proven strategic leader committed to Continuous improvement, innovation design, process optimization, change management and service excellence.

    Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, this pivotal role will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, process improvements and organizational transformations to enhance overall efficiency, effectiveness, performance and service delivery across the organization.

    You will be accountable for developing and executing a comprehensive business improvement and transformation strategy aligned with the City's corporate plan.

    You will provide visionary leadership to foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization and will work collaboratively with the City's leaders, staff and customers to understand business needs, establish and monitor performance metrics, and align improvement efforts, regularly reporting on progress and providing insights and recommendations for further enhancements.

    You will identify and leverage innovative technologies and tools to drive business improvements and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our practices.

    The Manager of Business Support and Transformation will lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of transformative initiatives and develop and implement change management plans to facilitate the successful adoption of new processes and improvements.

    Success in this position will require building rapport, trust and credibility while fostering strong working relationships across all City departments, with a focus on building and expanding a collaborative, dynamic workplace culture.

    Your academic credentials include a degree in business, operations management, or a related field augmented by additional business courses (e.g Lean, Six Sigma, change management certification, project management certification) and considerable experience in a managerial/consulting capacity within a business operations, IT and projects infrastructure.

    You are known for your strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, project management expertise, change management, superior communication and interpersonal skills and reputation as a transformational leader.

    The ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff and City Council will ensure your success in this position.


    During the recruitment process, applicants will be requested to provide a current Police Information Check (PIC).

    We offer an attractive remuneration and benefits package for this exempt position, including a compressed work schedule


    The salary range is:
    $130,008 to $152,964.
